Wedding Hair

Hey guys! I got my hair done on Thursday and it's definitely the color I'm sticking to for the wedding. Getting it done so early (79 days to go!) left me enough time to decide if I liked my hair this red, or change it if I didn't. Well, I love it! When it got dyed, she also curled it for me free of charge for me to get a glimpse of the style I wanted for the wedding. I think I'm going to go bigger curls, but it looks so so good with the red!

I'm stuck with my iPhone camera for now, so the quality of the picture isn't very good, but you get the idea!

How do you like your hair styled for big events?

What's New?

Hey guys! As you can see, A Broke Bride received a new layout from Allison at Crafted Love! She did such an amazing job for me on the invitations and the layout, and I think we really bonded (also because their new foster pup looks pretty similar to Gunner...)
There are seriously only 80 days left until the wedding! That's 2 and a half months. There's still quite a bit to get done but it's all coming along :) As a part of the wedding planning, I decided to get my hair dyed red! I'll have better pictures pretty soon because right now we're in the process of moving units in our building because of a pretty ridiculous situation. We'll be less stressed and I'm already relaxing with just having Rob and I in our own place instead of with a room mate.

The invitations were mailed as I've previously mentioned in a post and I've been getting everyone's pictures of them receiving their invites! My sister took this picture of the RSVP. Allison designed these! It's sooo exciting to open the mailbox to find someone has RSVP'd.

I'm going to be back to regular posting now that my motivation is back with the new layout! :)

Lately...Again!

The invitations are done! I mailed them out this morning (well, I got Rob to..) and I am just sooooooo excited to start receiving all of the RSVP's. Allison did an amazing job at designing them and I'll share soon once most people have received theirs in the mail.
Gunner has grown so much in the past few weeks! He'll be 15 weeks old on Monday and he's already 32 pounds. He's healed from his dog attack wounds (physically, anyways) and is as crazy as ever! We thought he could get his second set of shots but they said he had a fever. Poor guy! After another round of antibiotics, he was well enough to get his shots and go to the dog park. He missed that place!
I recently became employed at a group home, and it means not wearing my Starbucks outfits during the week! It's an amazing opportunity, and from what I've heard, amazing on the resume too. I've had 5 shifts and I'm in love with the atmosphere and how the staff integrate family therapy. It's not always the child, it's the family too. I finally got a chance to wear my necklace from outside.everywhere that I won in a giveaway on Gentri Lee's blog!
Miss Koshka has been super cuddly since we got Gunner, and I'm loving it. She's not a fan of him and how he treats her like she's a small puppy, but she has yet to make a swipe at him.
Rob's mom and Aunt came over one weekend and helped me get my head wrapped around centerpieces! Eventually, we got most of the pieces done but we had a mason jar we weren't using anymore and I decided to make it a vase for the flowers that Rob's Aunt brought :)

What's Coming Up?
1 - Allison from Crafted Love is designing a new blog layout for me. I've mentioned this in the last couple posts but she mentioned she was almost done, so I hope you're ready!

2 - It turns out that our room mate decided to not find a job during the month he was unemployed so we've had to make the decision and kick him out. Rob and I put our application in today to transfer to a one bedroom suite. If all goes well, we should be moving suites by April 18! This is just added stress for this month, but I know I'll be happier when we're in our own place.

3 - Centerpieces are done! Invitations have been mailed out! Flowers have been bought for the bouquets! A lot has been done for the wedding lately and I can't wait to share everything with you guys. I'm almost done crafting a bunch of stuff, so a couple posts will be coming up soon.

Thanks for sticking around while I've been on a bit of a blogging hiatus. Life has been crazy and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. I'm working 50+ hours a week right now, about to move, wedding planning, caring for a puppy, etc..

Wedding Shoes

3.5 months away means I need to learn how to walk in heels. Why did I do this to myself? My feet always get so sore and achy after wearing heels for even a couple minutes. I've been told to wear these around the house until the wedding to break them in and I'm hoping it works!

I have to last through a couple dances, pictures, and a big walk down the aisle in these things. I love them, though. I bought them in 2011 at Wal-Mart for $20!! I had stuffed them in my closet and just recently took them out in time to go to my first gown fitting. They're so perfect that they don't need to alter the length of my dress for me to wear them! I'm also eye-level with Rob. No bridal hunch back for us!

I'm torn about whether I should glitter the toes? I have some silver glitter and I think it would look really good but they also look really good as they are.

What did/do your wedding shoes look like?

ps. There's a new layout coming on A Broke Bride soon!!1 I'm sooooooooooo excited! and the invitations are in the finishing step and so those will be printed and mailed out too! I'm pumped to share with you :)

30 for 30!

Not sure of the source.

With the wedding only a short 3.5 months away, it's time for me to put the pasta down and pick up the carrots. My sister-in-law invited me in to a group she created on Facebook yesterday called "30 for 30." Basically, you have to have 30 minutes of physical activity (exercise) every day for a minimum of 30 days. It's a $5 buy-in and the person who logs the most 30 minutes blocks, wins the pot! So far it's up to $40. I'm willing to try almost anything to get me motivated and one sure fire way is money. The contest starts on March 4th, so on Monday, and goes until April 28. I'm excited!

What sorts of things motivate you to exercise?
